Building an app stack that does not fight itself

It is tempting to install an app for every idea. The cost shows up later: overlapping features, conflicting scripts, a slower storefront and a support surface that spans five vendors.

One app per job

A good rule is one app per job. When two apps claim the same job, pick one and remove the other rather than running both "just in case". Overlap is where subtle bugs and duplicate charges live.

Watch the storefront weight

Watch the storefront weight. Apps that inject scripts into every page add up quickly. Prefer apps that load only where they are needed, and audit your theme periodically for leftover code from apps you have already uninstalled.

Maintain the stack like a product

Treat your stack like a product you maintain, not a drawer you fill. A short, deliberate list of apps that each earn their place will almost always beat a long list you no longer understand.
